Korean Beauty Products never fail to amaze me. I have seen and learned so many new skincare secrets through Korean Skincare. This time around, BNT send me a fantastic combo of MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam cleanser and a super soft Cloud Embo Massage Brush. Being a cleansing fanatic myself, I jumped onto try this instantly. Now, Korean Skincare has taught me double cleansing and I have been hooked ever since. It basically starts with an oil based cleanser to remove any makeup on your face and a foam based cleanser for thorough cleansing. MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam claims to combine both the steps into one single step.
The MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam cleanser comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a reliable pump. The product itself is light yellow with white beads in it. Since the bottle is a light blue color, the whole product appears slightly greenish. Enriched with natural oils like Argan, Damask Rose Oil, Jojoba, Olive, Orange Blossom, and Ylang Ylang, the foam cleanser is pretty impressive. It also contains Camu Camu extracts, Kakadu Plum Oil, and Sea Buckthorn Oil which improve skin complexion. The white beads are French clay and helps in exfoliation, cleansing and oil removal. When you pump the product out, the pump crushes the beads into the product before delivering it. (Amazing!!) Since the entire packaging is in Korean, I couldn’t find any info on Ingredients or other contents.
The Cloud Embo Massage Brush is a perfect combo with this cleanser. The bristles are pretty dense and the texture is softer than any brush I have ever used. It is so soft, I would use it on my baby! The dense bristles are perfect for deep pore cleansing and to create a luxurious lather.
How to Use:
You disperse out 3-4 pumps of the oil/jelly cleanser and massage onto your face. You can use your bare hands; but to enhance thw whole experience, they have send over the Cloud Embo Massage Brush. Use the back-side of the brush (with the V rigs) on your face to massage the oil in. Wet the brush and use it to create foam to deep clean your face. you can see more about it here.
My Experience with MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam
MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam is a bright citrusy smelling oil/jelly consistency. I found it similar to the gel cleansers available in market. When you try to spread the oil over your face to massage, it turns all sticky like honey and in no time it is a tacky mess- which I did not like. Also, 4-5 pumps of product is already on my face and I still feel it is not enough. The Cloud Embo Brush makes luxurious foams on the face once it has water in it. I have soon given up on the 4-5 pump massage and go straight to the Cloud Embo Brush. In that case all I need is a single good drop of product. If you have makeup on it, please do remove it entirely before you use the Cloud Embo Brush, as your foundation can pretty much make a mess on the Brush (Yes, it happened). So I wouldn’t use this as a single-step Cleanser. Oil cleansing is still a must for me.
Once you are done with the cleansing, all you need to do is clean the brush in running water and squeeze out excess water.Keep it straight on a flat surface to dry overnight. To help in drying, create some space between the bristles, as the Cloud Embo Brush is pretty dense packed. I have found it takes me almost 24hr to dry. This can get longer, now that winters are approaching.
MIU Review of MAXCLINIC Vitamin Oil Foam:
- Disappointing as an all-in-one product. I will still stick to double cleansing and use this as a foam cleanser.
- Cleaning the Brush is a task as it takes a whole day to dry. With winter approaching. it is just going to be difficult.
- Not exactly travel friendly, though I love the Massage Brush and may pack it in.
- I cannot think of it as a makeup remover. It would remain just a face-wash for me.
- I could find the product on Ebay.com for $23.44, which is rather expensive for a Face-wash.
- The Cloud Embo Massage Brush is available at Gmarket at $12.04
