Indian market was short of a reliable natural skincare with no toxins or parabens loaded. I found and tried a few, all in vain to be dissapointed with the quality of the product. Suddenly, Plum came into the market and owned the game. There was a huge rave about plum products and well. the beauty blogger in me decided to take the trust plunge! With a stack of plum goods, I started off reviewing each one of them one by one in-detail for a whole month. As I am giving you all the details, I’ve divided it into two posts to avoid a very lengthy one. Here are my findings.
Few things impress me when it comes to the brand Plum. They are the first beauty brand in India that’s 100% vegan. And TOTALLY free of Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, SLS, DEA & PABA. Huge plus in my list. Clearly ahead of times as they have thoughtfully formulated skincare range for each skin type and have a dedicated customer service available to help us pick the right one. Their packaging are totally recyclable and actually follow International natural and organic labelling standards. I had mentioned in my last post the state of Organic Product labelling in India. You can read it here. Overall, I’m impressed and cant wait for them to start of with kid’s range too. (Plum, are you listening?)
In my Part 1 of Plum Range Review, I shall be reviewing
- Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face wash
- Grape seed & Buck thorn Mild Foam Scrub
- Green Tea Clear Face Mask
Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face wash
It’s the season of mangoes and I cant stop myself. Don’t know if it’s the heat or the pesticides they use in mangoes nowadays, I get pimples if I eat more than a few pieces a day. So, it so happened I ended up with a red ripe one on my forehead and another on my cheek. Wonderful!
I am not kidding on this one- the green tea range actually works on pimples! Well, at least for me it did. Its mild and not really super foamy- as it has no soap or SLS. It has tiny beads that are made of cellulose than plastic (environment friendly) to give a mild exfoliation on daily basis. The Green tea works wonders for acne prone skin. Enriched with Glycolic acid, this face wash knocks off dead cells that clogs your pores preventing more acne.

MIU Review of Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face wash
- Non drying (I have combination skin) and works well for pimples.
- Not much of an exfoliant and I’m happy about it. Especially when even the beads are cellulose based and not plastic.
- Overall works great on oily and combination skin- but can be a bit too much for very dry skin.
- Priced at INR 345 (without Offers) for 75ml and can be purchased here.
Grape seed & Buck thorn Mild Foam Scrub
An everyday scrub that is super foamy without any soap or SLS. I have taken fancy for foamy scrubs since sometime and this remains a personal favourite. Grape seed oil is rich in linoleic acid (essential fatty acids), vitamins and anti-oxidants. Buck thorn oil is the most potent plant source in the world for Omega 7 fatty acid. You end up with a very happy and healthy glowing skin- assured!

Green Tea Clear Face Mask
This one is a super-mask. It works wonder on your acne- so much that I even use it as spot treatment overnight. It is a creamy face pack that comes packed in a glass jar. Applied on pretty smooth like any other clay mask. Other than Green tea extracts and Glycolic acid I have already told you above, this mask has the goodness of natural clays Kaolin & bentonite.
