KICHO Camelia Sleeping Pack Review

If I should name a single product from the KBeauty section that has me running for my money, it would be sleeping pack / masks. They are absolutely mind blowing and super effective. Being a busy working mom, I barely get time to sit back, put my leg up and put on a sheet mask. Trust me on this, I have about 10-15 sheet masks lying in my vanity- staring at me, questioning ‘Don’t you love us anymore?’ . It is heart-breaking. Practically, the ONLY time I get for myself is when I am sleeping (If my little munchkin decided to wake up and play- then that option closes too!). SO, I needed something that can save me! Sleeping Masks have been of great aid. BNT News send me KICHO Camelia Sleeping Pack in a gorgeous floral box with dainty lace bow. How Adorable!

This is not my first Sleeping pack. I have used a few others and my favourite one from BRTC is reviewed here. The KICHO Camelia Sleeping Pack comes in a complete set with a pack brush. The Sleeping pack is packed in a reasonable sized tube with a lot of floral designs. I expected the product to have a strong floral scent, but it resembled more like a baby cream. (Motherhood talking??). Coupling vitamin and antioxidant rich ingredients with the restoring power of sleep, KICHO Camelia Sleeping Pack claims to bring that youthful lift and glow back to your skin just overnight.

The four major ingredients of the sleeping pack are camellia oil, rose water, fermented black ginseng and lanolin. Camellia oil is one of the most treasured secrets of the geisha. Camellia oil, also known as tsubaki oil, is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9. The molecular weight of the oil is an almost identical match for skin, allowing it to absorb quickly and thoroughly. Rose water refreshed and deeply moisturizes the skin from within. The Ginseng rejuvenates and brightens your skin; while the lanolin deeply nourishes and repairs your skin. I guess KICHO really loves their Lanolin. The last product I used from KICHO was a Sheep Oil cream (Lanolin cream).

Unlike many of the sleeping packs I have applied, this one goes on like a cream- but since you are applying with a brush, it doesn’t get absorbed instantly (due to lack of heat from fingers). The brush keeps things hygienic but it is a pain to clean. The first time I tried it, I was hoping and praying I don’t wake up to a nasty pimple. To my surprise, what I woke up to was smooth and softer skin. I had infact forgot I had applied the pack overnight and was wondering how my skin was glowing!! the second time I used it, I ditched the brush and went for hand and found the results were much better as the pack gets absorbed (partially) on to the skin before you hit the bed. The brush is of very superior quality and has soft precise bristles. KICHO also does makeup brushes- so yea it explains!

How to Use a Sleeping Pack:

Well, for the uninitiated, Sleeping Packs are basically face packs that resemble a gel or cream. It is applied as the last step of your night skincare routine. Unlike traditional Face packs, you do not have to wash these off. It is meant to be kept overnight. yoiu can read my article on Overnight Skincare here. All you need to do is wake up to perfect skin.
