NYX Cosmetics Haul & Review | Nykaa Haul

Hi There!

It’s been a while since I have posted a product review and its been mad long that I have taken a backseat with my blog. I have been pretty active on my YouTube and I cant thank you guys enough for the love you have showered me with on my videos. So, after a break, I’m back to posting my blogs and doing detail reviews on my blog. Cheers to that!! Today I am going to do a detail review of few NYX Cosmetics I picked up from Nykaa at their Christmas sale. Ever since NYX Cosmetics has been available in Nykaa, people have been swooning over it. Many of the best sellers are still out of stock. I have been lusting after their Jumbo eye pencil in Knight and Milk- both always out of stock. 🙁

So, lets get this NYX party started with some colors. First up the NYX soft butter lip cream. I have heard a lot of these little pots, I couldn’t decide on which colors I wanted to try. After an hour spend back and forth on online lip swatches ranging from safe reds to perfect nudes and bold blues, I decided to play safe to try out the performance first before investing it all in colors I may not even touch later ( Trust me, I have my fair share of those as well). Finally, I decided on the ever famous Cannes, the soft pink San Paulo and a very-festive Madrid.img_9257-minimg_9251-minpreview-1

So first up the good stuff, the formula is really buttery and doesn’t feel cakey. A real pain with matte liquid lipsticks is the flakiness and chapping. The prepping to avoid lines and all that drama is just forgotten with this NYX soft mattes. Though, applying is not as simple as a single swipe. You need multiple swipes to get the color to really show though. The color is not fade proof and stays just for a few hours, say about 5-6 max. All the colors have been quite flattering on my skin tone. I expected the Cannes to be too light but it was a perfect nude pink. San Paulo was a dreamy fluffy pink and Madrid was the essential Christmas deep red. Priced at INR 600, its a good buy and I may pick up some more bold colors as I like the formula.

Next up is the High Definition Blush i shade Hamptons. I wanted the shade Amber as I personally feel deeper pink blushes suit me better. This was a soft powder pink blush and I felt it would look chalky on me. The packaging looks so cute with that compact size and that bow. When I swatched the blush, I found it too difficult to get any pigments on my hand without rubbing it real hard. For a HD blush, I had more expectations.

The blush is quite powdery and dry and it makes it difficult to work with. You do get used to it over time but I feel it just doesn’t go well with my skin-tone and preference. If you like a subtle matte powder pink glow, this may be your bae. That just doesn’t go well with me as I like my blush a bit creamy, workable and deeper. Priced at INR 600, I may not go back to this one.

Now, its winters and who doesn’t want a good Bronzer? I got this gorgeous pan of NYX matte bronzer in shade light. The bronzer is decent sized and pigmented enough. A little goes a long way and I got that essential definition for my face. It applies smooth and feels fine milled, blending out real well. Priced at INR 850, it is a good high end product at a drugstore price.

Next up is the NYX Dark Circle Concealer in shade medium 03. I use it as a perfect colour correction formula. It gives a good coverage with a thick creamy formula and great coverage. It does not have orange tones like many color correctors and that to me, is a great plus point.

I have already done a video on how to use it to colour correct really dark under eye circles. You can check it out here.

No holiday season (or any season) is complete without some highlighter and this time I wanted to try something different when the NYX Duochromatic Illuminating powder caught my sight. I picked the shade crushed bloom so I can double it up as a blush whenever I don’t feel like wearing too much makeup. It gives such a subtle and healthy glow, I have been using it daily ever since. I have been even using it as an eye-shadow for a flushed healthy look.
That’s all from me for now. I hope you guys enjoyed reading my NYX Cosmetics review as much as I enjoyed using them. Dont forget to check out the video below for live demo. Show some love and SUBSCRIBE to my channel and blog. I promise to deliver love forever. Happy holidays folks!!
